Katie Bain

Katie Bain is the Director of Billboard Dance, where she oversees all dance related coverage for digital. She's covered the electronic scene for more than a decade, documenting the rise of the genre in Los Angeles and beyond during the North American dance music boom. Bain's work has appeared in publications such as VICE, The Guardian, SPIN, Flaunt, LA Weekly and others. 

Bain was previously the Senior Editor at Beatport News. Prior to that, she was on the editorial team at Insomniac Events, where she covered festivals throughout North America, the Caribbean and Europe. She's interviewed countless artists and industry leaders for her stories and as the host of Insomniac's video series, Golf Cart Confessions.
