Partner & Director of Operations, Pipelines

About this speaker

Shari oversees the all operations and development of the Pipelines mobile app and the Pipelines Foundation having been involved when Pipelines was just an idea. Pipelines is a mobile app that connects underrepresented talent to career and training opportunities in tech, entertainment, and creative industries, and companies to a vast pool of qualified, diverse talent.

She began her work in the diversity & inclusion space at PromaxBDA where she worked within the entertainment marketing industry implementing several development and training programs. Her primary programs were Promo Pathway and the first ever Creative Coach Program. Through Promo Pathway, she worked directly with underrepresented, emerging talent to prepare them to transition into the entertainment marketing industry and the early stages of their creative careers. Through the Creative Coach Program, she paired prominent industry leaders with Promo Pathway participants, which nurtured engaging relationships through hands-on mentorship. Other programs and events led include: Annual HR Roundtable and Student Portfolio Night, Executive Mentorship Programs, panels and workshops with TV network partners, and various programs through strong academic partnerships nationwide.

Prior to Pipelines, Shari was the Program Administrator for the first ever Commercial Directors Diversity Program (CDDP); created and endorsed by both the Association of Independent Commercial Producers (AICP) and the Directors Guild of America (DGA). There, she created an immersive program with the objective of providing more access and opportunity to underrepresented directors in commercial production.

She is committed both personally and professionally to pipelining more underrepresented talent into entertainment and tech and providing more access and opportunities to our next generation of creative talent.
